 What's New for the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS?
The prestigious Mercedes-Benz GLS has consistently impressed its elite drivers over the years, and its appeal will expand in 2024 with numerous exciting improvements. The improvements begin on the exterior with a bumper-to-bumper refresh. At the rear, the GLS takes a modernized look with redesigned LED taillights. On the nose, the 2024 GLS displays an updated grille dressed up with dark, horizontal lines. Below the grille, the redesigned bumper features black molding that rounds over the air vents. These air vents are styled with similar horizontal lines as you will find on the grille. You can also choose from several all-new interior colors.
The 2024 GLS's capabilities have also been upgraded. The V6 engine in the GLS 450 now delivers 375 horsepower. If you opt for the GLS 580, your V8 engine will generate 510 horsepower. The GLS 580 is also now available with an Off-Road Engineering package. With this package, your Mercedes-Benz SUV will have a raised air suspension system and upgraded underbody protection.
The extensive appeal of the Mercedes-Benz GLS is otherwise unchanged for the 2023 model year. Inside, you can appreciate refinements like a pair of 12.3-inch digital display screens, a reconfigurable driver's instrument cluster, MBUX software, a navigation system, wireless internet connectivity, smart device connections, a premium sound system with either 13 or 26 speakers and other luxuries. An Executive Rear Seat Plus package is available that adds features to the second row. These include an infotainment system with a tablet controller, massaging seats, plush headrests, and a wireless charging station.
The Mercedes-Benz GLS is designed to protect the driver and passengers while decreasing the likelihood of an accident. Its available safety technologies are a semi-autonomous driving mode, auto emergency braking for cross-traffic and pedestrians, lane keeping, a lane departure alert, and adaptive cruise control.
