 What's New for the 2023 EQB SUV?
In 2022, the EQB SUV joined the growing list of all-electric crossover SUVs in the Mercedes-Benz Electric lineup. This compact crossover is currently the smallest of these options, and it delivers all of the refinement drivers expect from the brand. While the model is only a year old, the EQB SUV benefits from one significant improvement for the 2023 model year. Now, the EQB 250+ SUV trim level is available for the first time. It is now the base trim level, joining the EQB 300 4MATIC® SUV and the EQB 350 4MATIC® SUV in the lineup. In addition to choosing between these options, there are Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle sub-trims available.
The new EQB 250+ SUV is outfitted with a front-mounted electric motor, and this system produces 188 horsepower. Both the EQB 300 4MATIC® SUV and the EQB 350 4MATIC® SUV have a dual-motor system, and they generate 225 horsepower and 288 horsepower, respectively. The EQB 250+ SUV has front-wheel drive, and the other two systems have 4MATIC® all-wheel drive.
The exterior style of the 2023 EQB SUV is unchanged, and it continues to show off its elegance through the decadent contours and lower-body molding on the sides, as well as its tall, gently sloping profile. The front end is beautifully styled with a wide grille featuring a chrome double-bar element, and this grille tapers outward with fluid integration with the LED headlights. Below these elements, the thin fascia flares outward with dramatic effect. If you choose the Premium sub-trim, the EQB SUV will have roof rails, 18-inch wheels, rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof, heated and power-folding side mirrors, and an auto-dimming function on the driver's side. Higher sub-trims may also have black exterior trim, keyless entry, and a hands-free liftgate.
The entry-level Premium sub-trim is also well-appointed throughout its safety and cabin features. It comes with a 10.25-inch digital instrument screen, a 10.25-inch central display screen, parking sensors, a dual-zone auto climate control system, ambient cabin lighting, automated parking, four USB-C ports, a driver attention warning, a navigation system, voice controls, smartphone app integration, safe-exit assist, and others. Features offered for higher-level sub-trims are a surround-view camera, a premium sound system with 12 speakers, sport seats, a head-up display, augmented video with the navigation system, road sign assistance, gesture control, and a few additional features.
