 What's New for the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been a top contender among luxury sedan shoppers in the Louisville area for years, and its appeal will reach new heights in 2022. This year’s C-Class introduces the model’s fifth generation with beautiful updates throughout the interior and exterior, enhanced capabilities, and the debut of new features. On the exterior, the C-Class’s updated styling includes an athletic, sophisticated profile with long, swooping elements from front to rear. A bending ribbon of light caps the diamond-shaped headlights. They flank a stunning grille that features a double-bar design and starburst mesh.

The updates inside the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class are equally striking. The fine leather material is combined with metallic and wood accents. The dashboard has a clean, modern look with rounded, aeronautical air vents and an elevated display screen at the top of the center stack. This stack continues fluidly downward with low-profile features. A digital display screen for the driver’s gauges and a flat-bottom steering wheel complete the C-Class’s interior styling.

The 2022 C-Class grows even more appealing when exploring its many feature updates. The MBUX system accessible through the central display unit has a faster processor and is protected by a fingerprint scanner. The Android Auto and Apple CarPlay features are now offered with different profile settings. The robust safety suite from the 2021 C-Class has been updated with a damage detection feature. These new additions to the C-Class combine all of the features that drivers have enjoyed in the 2021 version. Such features include heated seats, voice recognition, forward collision mitigation, a keyless ignition, a wireless charging pad, a Burmester sound system, and many other features.

The C-Class continues to be offered with one powertrain option for the 2022 model year, but this powertrain has been fine-tuned with mild-hybrid technology. The horsepower output of the turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine is now stepped up by 20 horsepower. The total horsepower is 255. The standard nine-speed automatic transmission is combined with rear-wheel or 4MATIC® all-wheel drive.
